Creative Prosperity

Ruth Ross, Ph.D, author of Prospering Woman, is the presenter in this one-hour video edited from one of her seminars conducted in Tiburon, California. As is often the case in this type of program, Ross's commentary ranges from the slightly cryptic ("The truth is that we are spiritual beings living in physical bodies in a mental universe") to the faintly ludicrous (prosperity is "having the guts--the masculine side--to assert yourself"). Along the way, viewers learn that abundance is their "birthright," whatever one truly wants one can have (could we be increasing those subscriptions, please?), and in an interesting addition to the theories in quantum physics: "money = energy." The basic gist is that we must allow ourselves to have prosperity since we are the only real barriers. The best part of the program are the guided meditations (these are basically bulk filler audience participation routines which allows the speaker to take a break) on imagining what you want, forgiving everybody (including oneself), and--I'm not joking--a guided meditation in which the viewer imagines him or herself walking through the house discarding objects no longer needed; i.e. a mental spring cleaning.
