Dance in America: American Ballet Theater Now: Variety and Virtuosity

For almost 60 years, American Ballet Theater has offered an extraordinarily diverse repertoire ranging from the masterpieces of 19th century classical ballet to contemporary pieces, including commissioned works by George Balanchine, Antony Tudor and Twyla Tharp. Today, what's American about ABT is that anything's possible: dancers come from all over the world to experience the range and to enjoy the esprit de corps that develops in a touring company. To celebrate this variety and virtuosity, Natalia Makarova introduces a program that was performed before a live audience featuring an international cast of ABT dancers, including Susan Jaffe, Allesandra Ferri, Julio Bocca, and Jose Manuel Carreno, among others.
