Filmed at the “D”aisy (Divorce) Camp retreat center in Chanhassen, MN, this two-disc seminar features insights from expert speakers on a wide variety of topics related to the dissolution of a marriage. Founder Jennifer Morris' personal experience with a divorce led her to create the camp in order to help provide assistance to others. Divorce ABCs features professionals such as a lawyer, psychologist, realtor, and mortgage banker, who cover subjects including hiring an attorney or mediator (regarding the division of property and custody of children, among other issues), comparing interests and goals to statutes and rules, personal financial management (tax planning, assets/liabilities, mortgages, etc.), divorce-after-decades strategies for creating a new life (one speaker was overwhelmed when her marriage ended after 33 years, but she says that “you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the person you really are”), all on the first disc. The second disc features interviews with the experts addressing over 60 frequently asked questions. A helpful and very affordable program compiling a wealth of information for those facing a divorce, this is highly recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
