Here's an introductory video for any kid who wants to be the next Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa or Keith Moon but doesn't own a drum set. Musician Sam Zucchini, with backup by the Zucchini Brothers band, guides kids through the basics of drumming on a stepstool (viewers are advised to use "anything you don't mind hitting" as a pretend drum set). After demonstrating how essential a good beat is to music, Zucchini shows how to hold the drumsticks and count beats to a measure. As techniques become increasingly complicated, kids are advised that they can stop the tape at any point and practice before moving on. While accompanying the band on songs such as "Clean Your Room," "Seven Days," and "Teacher" in this informal session, aspiring drummers will have the opportunity to discover whether they have a knack for drumming before investing in expensive instruments. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
