It's aerobics on a very large ball and, yes, this exercise program had its ups and downs. Instructor Jean Goulet-Klein leads viewers through a series of low impact moves while sitting on an exercise ball. Goulet-Klein and her 9-year-old daughter each bounce through a medley of bends and stretches while illustrating the importance of balance and coordination. The routines get progressively more difficult, and look exhaustively fun. There were, however, a couple of problems. Even with the "please adjust the tracking" request at the beginning of the tape, this reviewer's cassette had very poor audio that buzzed and hissed throughout. The other problem, and it's a major one, is that you need a large exercise ball (and--surprise--the producers can sell you one). This isn't like step videos where the chances of having a substitute "step" around the house is fairly high; in this case, without an oversize exercise ball, there just ain't much you can use as an alternative. An optional purchase. Aud: P. (N. Plympton)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
