Childhood obesity is rising at an alarming rate, linked in part to increases in sugar and fat consumption, and a shift toward more sedentary activities. Exercise: It's Good for You! offers a brief introduction to a health-conscious lifestyle for youngsters, with an emphasis on exercise. Beginning with a shot of two kids staring, zombie-like, at the television (the standard whipping boy) while eating junk food, the program follows the pair of couch potatoes as they learn about becoming more active, practicing good hygiene, and eating nutritious foods, while working together with parents. In addition, the video features a basic overview of the circulatory and skeletal systems, as well as a discussion of how exercise improves emotional health. Recommended. Aud: K, E. (E. Gieschen)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
