Watching a video can make you do crazy things. While my idea of exercise is pushing the "play" button on my VCR remote, Rebel Ropers' Louis Garcia and Rita Bland got me so worked up over the idea of jumping rope that I ran (OK, drove) to K-Mart and actually bought a jump rope: a leather one...with ball bearings...and purple foam handles. Slick editing, a wonderful sense of humor, and some of the finest rope jumping you'll see, make this exercise/sport (which Garcia technically calls "one of the best butt-shapers in the business") video a real winner. Garcia and Bland offer pointers on choosing a rope, run through a checklist of do's and don'ts, and teach viewers basic rope jumping, before launching into a variety of lunges, twists, and "around the world" moves. An excellent and motivational program (I'm planning on taking my jump rope out of its packaging next week), this is highly recommended. Editor's Choice. Aud: J, H, P.
