Although I've never thought of cacti as "bird hotels" before, the indigenous species in Paradise Valley (near Phoenix) have no qualms about calling the saguaro "home." Ornithological enthusiast George Harrison (not the Beatle), whose own backyard garden was profiled in The Backyard Bird Watcher (VL-11/96), visits a half-dozen exquisitely created and maintained backyard bird sanctuaries from coast-to-coast, touring the grounds and talking with owners, while sharing interesting facts about various species. While not as effective as the previous effort--this is a series of profiles, as opposed to either a "how-to" or a video field guide--avid bird watchers will appreciate. Recommended for larger collections. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
