Get Into the Swing: The Basics

Some of us are old enough to remember when 'swing was king', and I think we all secretly wished that it would return as the dance of choice for a new generation of 'hepcats.' This video will introduce you to someone who has been a bit distant from you over the past several decades: YOUR PARTNER! Yes, you actually HOLD that person who was heretofore gyrating in another zip code. Two perky dance instructors offer an intro to 10 beginning steps that will take viewers from the "Not Making a Fool of Yourself"-stage right through to the "Call the Chiropractor"-stage, with nary a stumble in between. Of course, the music is wonderful, and the instructors' easy to follow directions are broken down into "Gentlemen" and "Ladies" steps. With swing becoming the dance craze du jour, this video will boogie its way off library shelves on a regular basis.
