Get Ready, Get Set, Get Fit

Lauri Page, a certified personal exercise trainer, has created a fine little workout video which encourages kids to turn off the Nintendo, put down the bag of chips, get off the couch and do a little exercise. Emphasizing the benefits of a strong mind and body, Laurie leads kids in traditional aerobics cleverly disguised as “the jungle walk,” “stuck in the mud,” "hoppin' and poppin',” and “jumping jacks burpees,” assisted by an animated dog named Smoojie who is encouraged to stop sitting around and get fit instead. If this simple, entertaining program gets one kid off the couch and into shape, it's a success. If it's one of my kids, it's a near masterpiece. Aud: P. (R. Ray)
