Stunning iconographic animation (translation: very cool cut-out graphics with an eye for color like Matisse on a good day) highlights this lovely version of the Thanksgiving address, the Native American good morning message thanking the birds, beasts, stars, moon, land, water and the Great Spirit. "To be a human being is an honor," narrates Chief Jake Swamp in both English and Mohawk, "Mother Earth we thank you." Although the dual translation does tend to break the natural rhythm of the beautiful message somewhat, this is a small fault in an otherwise excellent program. Major credit is due to Erwin Printup Jr.'s superb illustrations and Ernest V. Troost's typically luminous musical score. Highly recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (R. Pitman)
