Here, a Mr. Frederick uses his 25 years of experience in the dry wall finishing field to demonstrate the tools and techniques necessary to ply his trade, but his earnest efforts are zapped at every turn by abysmal production values. Excruciating, unedited footage offers variations on the theme "smear, smooth and wipe" with a cacophonous continuo provided by kids hollering, workers hammering and other intrusions. The photography is beyond amateur--bad angles, poor focus, strange lighting--and Mr. Frederick might as well be a mime, because the sound is truly unintelligible. Not recommended. Aud: P. (J. Reed)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
