Featuring Gregg Russell, a young, energetic dancer and local Emmy-nominated choreographer, this combination workout/dance video will appeal to teens and those interested in hip-hop dancing. Russell leads the viewer from basic steps through a complete routine, stressing safety and fun along the way, while also demonstrating his knowledge of and love for modern hip-hop. At first facing the audience and explaining the basic steps, Russell later asks the viewer to shadow his movements as he dances with his back to the camera. Although the dance-to-music synch-up is occasionally uneven, the instructions are consistently clear. Recommended, overall. Aud: J, H, C, P. (K. Sullivan)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
