Focusing on the needs of the more-or-less consistently bedridden at-home patient, Home Nursing Care discusses with great sensitivity and wonderful camerawork the following topics: gathering information, developing a comfortable environment, positioning and moving the patient, handling personal care issues (feeding, bathing, etc.), and caring for the caregiver him/herself. Tremendously supportive and respectful of patient and caregiver alike, the program emphasizes the importance of keeping patients involved in decisions regarding their own care, while encouraging caregivers to be as professional as possible when handling such tasks as washing a loved one's genitals, and to avoid thinking of themselves as a spouse or an offspring. Though there are other tapes on the market that address these same topics, I found this one's comprehensiveness, practical suggestions, and poignant perceptions (I'll even admit I cried a bit) superior. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
