Christy Lane, professional dancer and choreographer, is the host and instructress for this assembly of "hot dance" routines. Opening with a set of stretching exercises, the program segues into a series of routines: a jazz routine, a "funky mix" routine, and character routines (a cheerleader using pom-poms, a car, etc.). While viewers are likely to pick up some good moves watching these routines, each individual sequence is so complex and consists of so many moves, that people are more likely to become frustrated. Although not made clear in the program, a note on the box jacket recommends the title for "dance teams," who will certainly get the most benefit out of the program (an individual who wanted to adapt the routines for personal use would have to cordon off most of a given dance floor in order to perform the dancing). The program closes with a series of "performance tips" which are so general that they're practically meaningless. Not a necessary purchase. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
