If stuffing a big metal box full of computer components sounds like your kind of fun, but you're not sure which thingamajig connects to what thingamabob, then this is the video for you. Viewers will watch as a PC is built from the ground up, so to speak, starting with the first (and most fundamental) component, the motherboard, and from there progressing through all of the basic components that make up a modern computer (including a separate section on installing the processor), as well as learn how to install memory, video cards, hard drives, and other parts and connectors. In addition, the program discusses the other side of the coin--the installation of the necessary software drivers for the hardware components. Sure, some folks don't want to get their hands dirty under the hood of their PCs, but there are those (such as yours truly) who look at useful videos like this one as the equivalent of the automotive repair manuals in the reference section--you just gotta have ‘em for those do-it-yourselfers. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
