William Swan, a car collector, and Brant Cohen, a certified mechanic and car enthusiast, are the creative forces behind this excellent guide to buying modern classic cars. Beginning with an overview of the major manufacturers of the 50s and 60s, the program discusses which styles are the most desirable (and least desirable), guides viewers along the many avenues open to them if they decide to go shopping (car shows, auctions, newspaper ads, periodicals, etc.), examines the major factors involved in determining the value of a classic car (body type, styling, condition, popularity when new, rarity, interesting history, etc.), points out the differences between "restored" and "refurbished" and the economics involved, details the necessary questions shoppers will need to ask when they're shopping for a car, and takes the viewer on an extensive exterior/interior visual inspection of a car--pointing out what buyers should be looking for. Cohen's visual inspection alone is a thorough onceover that would benefit any buyer of a used car. A fine program on a popular subject. Highly recommended. (Available from most distributors.)
