Helping viewers use Internet resources to find a job, this fast paced video includes basic Internet searching skills and strategies, lists of general and specialty job sites, resume resources available online, newsgroups, discussion lists, and instruction in how to use job search agents and access free e-mail. This engaging production uses computer animation, graphics, and black and white stock footage along with actors to convey current information relevant to professionals, tradesmen, craftsmen, entry level position seekers, and high school students looking for a first job. Although the Internet is notorious for "here today, gone tomorrow" sites as well as those that are not updated regularly, most of the sites mentioned in this tape have been around for a few years and seem fairly stable. While the program packs a lot of information into 25 minutes, and includes a summary listing of sites referred to in the film, a printed list to take to the computer would have been much more useful. The cover of this title states that it is"...updated on a regular basis to include current and valuable Web site information," but at $149 a pop I don't know many libraries that could afford to replace this title "on a regular basis." Recommended, if you can afford it. Aud: H, C, P. (L. Stevens)
