How about a slow and comfortable screw against the wall? If you think that's terribly forward and more than a little fresh, what I'm really asking here is if you'd like a half-shot of vodka, half-shot of sloe gin, half-shot of Southern Comfort, and a half-shot of Galliano, with a little orange juice on top. That, in bartending parlance, is a "Slow and Comfortable Screw Against the Wall." Since it's been many, many years since I visited singles bars, I wasn't aware of some of the weird cocktails you can request these days, but in this no-frills guide, Aaron and Ken demonstrate in rapid-fire succession (with no fancy moves à la Tom Cruise in Cocktail) how to make 100 drinks altogether, ranging from our fathers' favorites (the Harvey Wallbanger--which now sounds much sleazier to me) to the popular drinks on the college circuit (the Orgasm or the Surfer on Acid). Of course, with material this rich, the narration by the boys will bring absolute tears to a comedy writer's eyes (these guys make a few half-hearted stabs at humor, but for the most part offer straight, no-comedy-chaser, instruction). Not a bartending course, per se, but a useful video dictionary of drinks for home entertainers, this is recommended. Aud: P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
