Produced in conjunction with Road & Track magazine, this much-needed "how-to" features racing veterans Sam Posey and Sandy Stevens offering viewers tips and techniques that will allow them to stay "in control" should a dangerous driving situation occur. Using live action demonstrations and slow motion sequences Posey and Stevens point out crucial aspects of seating, steering, speed, and braking. They advise viewers that, even for professionals, the line between being in control and out of control is very thin. Going through an obstacle course at 40 mph, Stevens is able to maintain smooth control over the car; at 43 mph the vehicle is out of control. The hosts caution viewers to know the limitations of their automobiles. Good tips on steering and an excellent section on braking options (threshold and locking) offer potentially life-saving information and dispel some popular myths along the way. Highly recommended. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
