Anyone who has ever tried to hang a door which ended up looking more like a Picasso painting than a functional entryway will benefit from the easy, laidback mastery of Tom Law. Viewers will learn the correct way to install manufactured windows, a pre-hung exterior door, and the coup de grace: an interior door, complete with jamb and all the hardware trimmings. In addition, an illustrated booklet shows templates for hinge mortises, and contains the specifications for a door workbench, which Law uses to make his job - and consequently, the viewer's -a little easier. As with other Fine Homebuilding video workshops, the video and audio qualities of the program are excellent. The program concludes with easing the "nightmare" of scribe-fitting a door. A superb program. Highly recommended. (Available from: Taunton Press, 63 S. Main St., Box 355, Newton, CT 06470.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
