Called Power Drawing With Jim Orr on the actual program, this guide to "dynamic drawing" opens with a testimonial from General Motors V.P. Charles Jordan about former employee Orr's artistic capabilities followed by a speech from Orr himself concerning the classes which he teaches through his company Advanced Formations. Finally, after 12 minutes of establishing credentials, Orr discusses the basic principles of dynamic drawing and then takes viewers through seven drawing exercises including a laptop computer, a futuristic hair dryer, a mini-camcorder, an android head, a building, and a car. As a guide to getting viewers started with product drawing, this program is a good one (keeping in mind that this is not a guide to product design). Both the video and the audio qualities are excellent. Recommended. (Available from: Advanced Formations, 383 North Front St., Columbus, OH 43215; (614) 221-1944.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
