In an extremely fast-talking intro, viewers are told we want to "turn heads" and "look good in those tight-fitting jeans and crop-tops." Hello? When having ‘the image' is literally TO-DIE-FOR for some young women, do we have to continue to spew this ridiculous notion to teenage girls? The video sports the obligatory ‘watch your diet and have healthy habits' spiel, but keeping fit and healthy ought to have been the focus here, not the attention one's appearance may receive from the opposite sex. (I should hope we're raising our daughters to see themselves as individuals rather than the object of someone else's neck exercise.) Unfortunately, since the box says this is "designed exclusively for teenagers!," preadolescent girls may think this tape is just what they need. The actual warm-up/workout/cool-down approach, however, is absolutely standard issue, and the three onscreen nondescript exercising teens listening to obnoxiously loud music while they follow the workout by rote ain't all that either. Not recommended. Aud: P. (N. Plympton).

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
