Broken down into eight sections, Let's Dance Swing guides viewers through the basic and more advanced moves of classic swing dancing, including steps used in the Lindy and the Jitterbug. Beginning with the basic swing step, teacher John Hill provides detailed instruction on how to begin and end a dance, execute turns, change directions, and perform the kicks without damaging one's partner or pride. The camera follows both hand and footwork, which is presented slowly so that the viewer can practice with a partner, and Hill illustrates common mistakes along the way--particularly with turns--providing corrections. Although a complete routine is never presented, most viewers will be able to connect-the-dance-dots, so to speak, making this a solid aid for would-be dancers with minimal experience looking to enhance their skills.
