Ventriloquist Jonathan Geffner and his young charges--both human and puppet--tackle the difficult subject of conflict resolution using skits and banter in this amiable introduction to getting along with others. Four situations are presented ranging from an argument over chess to a family altercation between a nephew and his uncle. Name-calling, blaming, denial, bullying, all of these negative behaviors and more are covered, with Geffner and the crew working through alternatives and strategies, beginning with the eminently sane suggestion that contestants "back off and cool off" before allowing a conflict to escalate. As in his previous productions (such as All Together [VL-11/94]), Geffner deftly mixes a bit of humor with a dash of wisdom to provide a very palatable lesson for kids. Recommended. Aud: K, E, P. (R.
