This is a compact introduction to the role of the library trustee. Divided into three main sections-policy, planning, advocacy-this program serves as a map to the various activities and areas of thought with which library trustees are concerned (special services and fees, safeguarding library materials, building improvements, lobbying, etc.) The emphasis here is on the resourcefulness that prospective library board members need to bring to the job in this age of exploding technology, shrinking budgets, and rampant illiteracy. As a pep talk, therefore, this would do nicely for introducing new board members to a difficult, challenging job. Recommended. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
