Intended to help teen parents get back on their feet after having a child, this two-volume series teaches solid life skills for building a promising future. The first volume, “Healthy Relationships,” offers guidance in effective communications, resolving conflicts, choosing friends wisely, developing a support network, and working with the child's other parent towards providing a good life for the baby. Volume two, “Building Your Future,” emphasizes the importance of finishing high school and becoming financially independent (especially before having another baby), covering topics such as jobs, money management, and the responsibilities of living independently. Interview clips with teens who honestly share their experiences and challenges are interwoven with vignettes that illustrate proactive behavior and the benefits of taking charge and setting goals. Life Skills for Teen Parents doesn't gloss over the hard issues, but it does present practical suggestions for young parents. Highly recommended. Aud: H, C, P. (L. Stevens)

This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
