Okay, any video which unselfconsciously mentions the phrases "up the middle penetration," "peel off gently," "dive and drill," "man to man technique," "slide butt," "deliver a good blow," or "go for a three on one" is just asking for abuse from this jaded reviewer. There, I've said it, now I'll refrain and I haven't even mentioned all the "flanking the tight end" talk. This video features Jerry Sandusky, the defensive coordinator of Penn St. University's football team instructing the viewer how to become a better linebacker, covering areas such as stance, movement, tackling, playing off blocks, pass defense, and fumble recovery. Aimed at coaches and players alike, the drills are clearly demonstrated for the camera using real Penn St. football players. Part of a video series on defense (including such rather specialized entries as Football's Split 4-4 Defense vs. The Pass) this well done guide is recommended. Aud: J, H, P. (R. Ray)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
