In this Canadian production, cancer patients and their families and medical caregivers discuss some of the psychosocial issues associated with living with the disease, and illustrate some of the ways emotions can be addressed. Divided into various sections (treatment, remission, support groups, recurrence, terminal diagnosis, etc.), the tape's production style is rather bare-bones and somewhat scattershot, but the interviewees are well-spoken and really do "acknowledge the joy and sorrow and the triumph and loss of cancer experiences." Though the production's "hook" of having a mountain-hiker go down several "paths" (i.e., "now let's navigate our way down the difficult path of recurrence") is rather corny and unnecessary, and its length is really too short to fully explore all the emotions associated with a life-threatening illness, it is nonetheless recommended for the support it could provide to the newly diagnosed patient and/or newly trained professional.
