As a beginning pianist, this program was beyond the skills of this reviewer to evaluate, so outside assistance was brought in. The basic intent of the course is to give the student a technique that will make it possible to master complex pieces of music in the easiest possible way. The approach uses the "Ottline" system to mark the scores of "For Elise" and Clair De Lune" (the student must provide his own copy of the sheet music). Geared for the intermediate to advanced pianist, Ott's method should lead towards more relaxed and more productive practice sessions. Ott is not only an accomplished pianist, but an effective video teacher whose presentation is enhanced by the program's high production standards. Recommended. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
