Here's a great maskmaking video just in time for Mardi Gras, chere! Classroom teacher Peggy Flores gives a clear, colorful introduction to the subject of masks as art and adornment, followed by a hands-on demonstration of how to cut, sculpt, color and embellish masks using the affordable medium of foil and common tools. A very concise and lucid look at a subject of universal appeal, the video ends with middle school students showing off their impressive efforts. School libraries will find this a welcome addition to art and craft collections, as will public libraries--especially those catering to Scout leaders anxious for inexpensive, educational craft projects. Highly recommended for all ages. Aud: I, J, H, P. (R. Reagan)
