Quilting is a perennially popular subject, and this encyclopedic approach to patchwork quilting by Jinny Beyer is bound to do gangbusters business. Exhaustive in scope, Beyer covers necessary supplies, drafting designs, making patterns and templates, selecting fabrics, using border prints, pacing fabrics, washing fabrics, computing the grain line, cutting and hand piecing, designing the quilt top, and more. The audio clarity and video resolution is crystal clear, and the pacing is professionally done (including the occasional 'break', where Beyer relates an anecdote which taught her something new about quilting). An excellent production. Highly recommended. (Available from: EPM Publications, Inc., Box 490, McLean, VA 22101).
