The one and only time I golfed, I accidentally hit a guy on a riding lawnmower. Had I seen this video first, I might have confined my game to the golf course rather than expanding it to the public park across the street. In this well-organized and presented video guide aimed at parents and children, Michael Hebron (a PGA Master Professional--a title, incidentally, held by less than 40 golf instructors in the country) presents an overview of the game, including how to select the proper club, stance, swings, etiquette, and games and activities for honing skills. Hebron compares various golf strokes to the blueprints of a house, encouraging new golfers to "see lines" and "feel circles." Assisted by children of all ages in demonstrating swings, stance, and shot analysis, Hebron breaks each movement down into component parts to help the viewer master each segment. While many golf "how to" guides try to pack too much information into a one hour tape--often overwhelming the viewer--this compact title teaches the basics while also building confidence. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
