Mike Ditka, colorful coach of the Chicago Bears, suffered a heart attack at the age of 48, and decided it wasn't going to happen again. After seeking the advice of experts, he decided to share what he had learned, on video. The program is divided into six chapters which cover: definition of a heart attack, immediate emergency procedures that can save a life, the factors which contribute to cardiovascular disease--and which ones can be controlled, guidelines to good nutrition and weight control, preparing light and tasty dishes that are easy on both the heart and the palate, and the importance of regular exercise in preventing heart problems. From beginning to end, the program is simply excellent. What makes it additionally valuable is the strong possibility that many adult males--who might not otherwise watch a program of this nature--may be inclined to listen to the straight-talking Ditka. An informative 32-page booklet is included with the tape. Editor's Choice. Highly recommended. (Available from: MEDI/COM, Nine North Broadway, Des Plaines, IL 60016.)
