When a frustrated young man named Bubba, who can't hit a baseball, enlists the aid of his mom, she switches shifts with a co-worker and goes to the park to help her son practice. On the field, they meet Bobby Woods, a former Chicago Cubs player, who helps Bubba out with the fundamentals, teaching him such basics as stance, grip, rhythm, balance, power, etc., followed by drills designed to "develop the hitting swing, resulting in consistent contact and the ability to drive the ball." A good video for young hitters, Mom, Can You Teach Me to Hit? features clear explanations and demonstrations and ends on an upbeat note with Bubba hitting a game-winning home run. Recommended.
