Mrs. Lee's Multi-Dimensional Paper Art: Getting Started

In this fun project for home crafters, Korean artist Mijun Lee introduces her paper art techniques for creating dimensional flowers and accents from puffy pulp paper, watercolors, and glue. Lee starts by pointing out the supplies and materials needed to begin the project, and then carefully demonstrates the techniques of tearing the paper into flower petal pieces, which are then painted and shaded and finally glued to the background to create a multi-dimensional look. Beginners will learn how to add accents to enhance an original art print titled "Strings of My Heart" created by Lee especially for this video. A companion volume, Mrs. Lee's Multi-Dimensional Paper Art: Yellow Roses ($19.99), offers more advanced instruction on how to create designs from scratch. The only drawback with both titles is that Mrs. Lee's Korean instruction is muted out and replaced by English voice-over with a heavy Asian accent that may prove difficult for Western audiences.
