AFAA certified fitness instructor Jody Trierweiler jumps right into this high-energy half-hour exercise program suitable for intermediate or advanced fitness buffs (no beginner modifications here). ICE Workout opens with a warm-up with pulses, marching, and reaches before segueing into a two-part ICE (Interval Core Exercises) workout that includes plyometric split lunges, trunk rotations, push-up jacks, 180-degree jump turns, side-planks, prisoner squat, elbow taps, crab walk, one-legged windmill squat, and breakdance circles. Performing the moves alone in a minimal locker room setting at a very brisk pace, Trierweiler does her own fair share of huffing and puffing (“You'll see even I wobble in these…”). Ending with a focus on abs and stretching, this solid cardio exercise program is recommended. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
