Here's a new contraption for the next edition of David Macaulay's The Way Things Work: worm bins. What, you might ask, is a worm bin? Well, it's basically a container filled with worms and dirt into which you feed your table scraps and out comes...well, worm poo. Now, worm poo may not set your saliva glands going, but your plants will love it. Creating good plant food is just one of the many benefits outlined in Recycling With Worms, a fun and funny guide hosted by Krista and her geeky friend Simon. After pointing out the drawbacks of the two most popular forms of waste management (burying and burning), the program shows viewers how to simply recycle the plastic, paper, and cans into separate piles, and give the organic scraps to the aforementioned worms. Cleverly presented, timely in its environmental message, and very kid-friendly, this is highly recommended. Aud: K, E, I, P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
