While she's not the bikini-clad model pictured on the front cover, instructor Cindy Whitmarsh is certainly in shape, and she's adamant about getting viewers fit with this workout program combining interval training and cardio aerobics to achieve muscle-building and fat-blasting goals. Divided into one-minute intervals, the two half-hour workouts here waste little time on warm-up (unless you count vicious elbow strikes): in fact, within the opening five minutes, viewers will use both sets of suggested weights. Glowing with sweat but still managing to talk the whole time, Whitmarsh ends the first segment with an almost menacing promise to “see ya tomorrow” (aye, aye, Cap'n Whitmarsh!). The second workout, which includes lunges, squats, and jump-rope/hopscotch-type moves, encourages viewers to have fun while remaining focused on results (reminding them that they “can do anything for a minute”).
