Not to be confused with Jumby Bay Studios' 2003 title of the same name, this new Rules of the Road represents a complete overhaul, featuring hours of new content, as well as printable guides, quizzes, and interactive DMV written exams, all aimed at helping budding motorists. Featuring credible teen hosts, this two-disc set is designed to create safe drivers by instilling good driving habits early, following three teens and their parents as they go through the progressive phases of driving instruction. Rules of the Road covers all aspects of driving, from getting-to-know-your-car basics to behind-the-wheel skills, combining live-action sequences and computer graphics in order to demonstrate a wide range of driving situations, including driving in hazardous conditions. Although aimed at teens, the program also supports parents, recognizing the fact that tensions often flare between the generations during the driver training period (some of these head-to-head confrontations are acted out here, followed by examples of healthier interactions). Chockfull of solid information smartly presented in an entertaining and comprehensive package (which includes a Spanish subtitles option), this is highly recommended. Editor's Choice. Aud: H, P. (C.
