Developed in cooperation with the Framingham Heart Group (who have been conducting an ongoing study of heart disease since 1948) this latest video from the Xenejenex team is yet another prime example of quality information provided in an engaging format. Leslie Charleson (General Hospital) is the host for the program which defines high blood pressure (using excellent animated graphics of the heart), describes the various diseases which can spring from hypertension (arteriosclerosis, stroke, heart attack, kidney disease, and even diseases of the eye), lists and explains the nine contributing factors to high blood pressure (heredity, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, etc.), and discusses the different types of medicines for heart disease. Interviews with both patients and physicians add a personal side to the information, and the program concludes with general stress alleviation techniques. An excellent video, notable for its preventative aspects as well as its prescriptive advice. Highly recommended.
