Because reported cases of carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive strain injuries have "increased 100% since 1994," it stands to reason that the market for materials addressing the subject has probably also increased that much. In this well-done addition to that genre, a doctor and a professional trainer explain the anatomy of the hand and wrist, and the causes of pain therein; provide both surgical and non-surgical solutions; and present many simple exercises meant to strengthen and stretch these oh-so-important body parts. Via large, colorful, and simple-yet-accurate illustrations, we are introduced to the physiology behind carpal tunnel syndrome, DeQuervain's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and fractures. While a short section on proper seating at a keyboard could have been more detailed (the height of a person's chair and the position of a monitor were not mentioned, for instance), this straightforward, understandable tape is nevertheless highly recommended, especially with its helpful exercise segments. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
