How would you like a career in one of the world's most elite professions? The Central Intelligence Agency, or C.I.A., is looking for honest, hardworking people with a sense of adventure, according to Chase Brandon, a 30-year veteran (who actually spent 25 of those years as a secret agent), who gives viewers a guided tour of the headquarters in Virginia, while outlining job descriptions of administrative personnel, analysts, scientists and technicians, and operations agents (that's the secret part) within the four directorates, or departments. In addition, the program features archival footage from the World War II era, as well as a show-and-tell of different gadgets, from tiny cameras to the SR-71 spy plane. Interested? Brandon says young viewers can plan for a career in the C.I.A. even as early as elementary school, by studying subjects such as geography, science, history, and current events, while also steering clear of drugs, and working diligently. This stay-in-school/no-drugs message is also the basis for the three other titles in the DreamQuest: An Education in Vision series: Jet Pilots, Astronauts, and Vets: Animal Doctors at Work. Recommended. Aud: J, H, P. (E. Gieschen)
