A sober, straightforward introduction to the topic of sexual harassment in the workplace, this is designed to help employees and employers alike define exactly what sexual harassment is in legal terms; understand steps to take in preventing, stopping and/or reporting sexual harassment; and create guidelines for supervisors. The accompanying workbook is laid out in a clear, easy-to-use format, with each chapter listing objectives first, followed by the content, and concluding with a summary and mini-quiz. Since the concepts presented on the tape are relatively complex, the workbook is an important adjunct, since it allows readers to proceed at their own pace while completing exercises designed to provoke thought about sexual harassment within an organization. Although the production values are high, the video presentation is relatively static, featuring a lot of "talking head" segments and relatively few scenarios in which incidents of sexual harassment are illustrated. Still, this is recommended, overall (with the caveat that the workbook is a critical part of the package), for those without similar fare such as Sexual Harassment: What It Is and How to Handle It (VL-1/97) or Dealing with Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (VL-3/93) Aud: P. (S. Fisher)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
