SHAPE magazine has entered the fitness arena with a new series designed to build a “bikini body all year round.” SHAPE Toning Workout is an 82-minute no-fat/all-lean workout featuring moves designed to tone four important zones for that perfect bikini body. Hard bodies Lisa Wheeler and Michelle Dozois share instructor credits in this set of four 15-minute routines for butt, abs, hips, and thighs, coupled with a 60-minute workout designed for a total upper body meltdown. Featuring mat and weight drills for a firm fanny; extensive mat work—with lots of variations on the old-fashioned sit-up—targeting the abs; integrated ballet moves that tone muscles in the legs, thighs, and hips; and chair and weight routines for the upper arms and shoulders, this program mixes it up nicely, and includes onscreen tips for correct form and execution. The DVD also allows viewers to choose the zone they want to tone, or take their chances with a “shuffle” option.
