Based on the popular books by instructors Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin, this entry in the Skinny Bitch workout series features two cardio exercise routines. The Bitches and three backups kick off with a long ballet-based warm-up, which includes a swan-like “feather” move and plies, backed by especially dimwitted banter (“I feel like a flamingo!”). As for the two workouts, the “Booty Bounce Retro” segment features the Bitches in leg warmers, smirking along to loose interpretations of the Hustle, the Bump, and the Pony, while the “Booty Bounce” segment includes step taps, hip rolls, supermodel walks, and pivots (with more, uh, playful repartee—”I'm “sweatin' my balls off!”), followed by a slow cool-down combining deep breaths with “flowy, flow, flow” (whatever that means). As viewers will see in the bonus interview with real-life celebrity fitness trainer/choreographer Patrick Goudeau, there is an actual method to the madness; however, this may be too unfocused for those who take their exercise regimen seriously. Also included is an interview with Freedman and Barnouin. Bottom line: sorry, Bitches, this is optional, at best. Aud: P. (J. Williams-Wood)
