Created by player, coach, and clinician Aleks Mihailovic, Soccer Made in America presents a solid training program for coaches and players of all levels, focusing on honing individual techniques and skills, before combining those abilities into drills for team warm-up and fieldwork. Professional players demonstrate each skill standing still, while moving, and under pressure from an opponent, and instruction is provided for coaches and trainers on how to teach the various drills. Volume one, "In the Beginning," focuses on developing the individual player, while volume two, "Possession Game," builds on knowledge gained from the first program and works on controlling the game as a team. Volume three, “Art of Finishing,” addresses an aspect of the game that coaches often neglect in training young players, while volumes four and five tackle contemporary offensive and defensive strategies in "The Demands of the Modern Game--Attacking" and "The Demands of the Modern Game--Defending." The final volume, "Tactics of the Modern Game," offers advanced instruction. While chapter menus would have been nice for navigating, this series still does a terrific job of improving skills for beginning to advanced players. Highly recommended. Aud: I, J, H, C, P. (L.
