Aimed at increasing strength, flexibility, and endurance for viewers at different fitness levels, Strength & Spirit (in CD-style packaging) features knowledgeable instructor Anita White Barbero, who encourages viewers to commit mind, body, and positive spirit to this “full fitness” workout. The program opens with a 20-minute warm-up (focusing on breathing techniques, posture awareness, stretching, and light yoga), followed by a 30-minute cardio endurance section (also incorporating various hand weights), closing with a 10-minute cool down session featuring additional yoga moves and a guided relaxation segment. Barbero is joined by a backfield crew who help demonstrate modifications for both higher intensity and lower-impact moves, all to the accompaniment of live music by the drum group “Sounds of Afrika,” as well as a lovely solo by flautist Chelsea Knox.
