Emilio Delgado, best known as "Luis" on Sesame Street, is the host for this brief guide to life in Mexico. While the video touches upon subjects such as geography, cuisine, and architecture, the primary focus is on student life. We see children in the classroom, watch as children perform for their instructors on the holiday Teacher's Day, and see kids going off to play soccer or baseball at the end of the school day. The problem with Student Life in Mexico is that the narration was clearly written to suit the video clip. It's more like a slide show with moving pictures than a documentary with a story to tell. Grade school teachers might be able to use this in a classroom setting, but it's an optional purchase for public libraries. (Available from: Hartworks, P.O. Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
