Super Sitters is a complete program for use by parents and babysitters, consisting of a videocassette which discusses the basics of babysitting through short dramatizations of situations babysitters are likely to encounter, three manuals (one for parents, one for sitters, and an emergency/first aid manual), and a washable pen/magnetic board for sitters to note basic information pertaining to the job. The problem, of course, is that this kit is meant to be owned--not checked out (though schools would be able to use this comprehensive teaching package effectively). The videocassette instructs parents to cue the tape for the babysitter to the section which follows the introduction by creator Dr. Lee Salk. Throughout the program, sitters are advised to refer to this or that in one of the manuals. On the other hand, the information is very good; the tape carries PP rights, which means that people could watch the program and either be satisfied with what they've learned or decide to purchase the program for themselves; and there are not many tapes available on this subject. Recommended, with the above reservations. (Available from: Super Sitters, P. O. Box 218, Mequon, WI 53092.)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
